Valuations

Oakwood provides property valuations for a range of purposes.

At Oakwood, our valuation services are carried out by RICS Registered Valuers, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism. We provide valuations for a variety of purposes, including court proceedings where we may act as an Expert Witness or Single Joint Expert, secured lending (mortgages), taxation assessments (such as Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax), disputes, partnership changes, matrimonial matters, and under the Charities Act. Additionally, we offer reports for property purchase, sale, and compensation issues.

Our clients range from solicitors, accountants, and SIPP providers to private individuals, all of whom can benefit from our trusted, expert valuation services.

We adhere to the guidance set out by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), commonly known as The Red Book. For a Red Book valuation, we conduct a thorough internal inspection of the property and review all relevant documentation, including planning consents, leases, and occupancy agreements. To ensure a smooth and efficient process, we recommend that clients provide any pertinent information before our inspection.

Before proceeding with any valuation, we will provide clients with a detailed Terms of Engagement, in accordance with RICS requirements. This ensures that our services align with the client’s specific needs and expectations. In the case of secured lending, please note that the client will be the lender, not the borrower.
