Altrincham based chartered surveyor firm Oakwood Property Services is pleased to announce that Associate Surveyor Lydia Sirovica has recently obtained distinction in a Post Graduate Diploma in Real Estate and Property Management from Salford University. Lydia joined Oakwood four and a half years ago, not long after the firm was established; initially joining on a part time basis to assist with admin, it quickly became clear that she was a natural property professional. Her role was made full time and she commenced training to become a chartered surveyor. This was quite a change following on from her first degree in Drama and Theatre Arts from Birmingham University. Lydia is local to the area, having grown up in Timperley, where she still lives, and attending Loreto Grammar School in Altrincham. Professionally Lydia initially majored on property valuations but has more lately taken responsibility for the commercial and residential management arm with a portfolio of properties across south Manchester and north Cheshire. She deals with landlords and tenants on all issues relating to property letting and management, whilst assisting with general professional advice. Given her drama background Lydia is a competent speaker and frequently speaks at property seminars to solicitors and other professionals across the region. Her biggest gig so far was an appearance on BBC Breakfast with Business Editor Nina Warhurst. Lydia is now on track to gain the prestigious RICS qualification. She needs to maintain a professional diary and have a formal interview.
